In the cave Dark as night Cling to your shackles Don’t even fight, For outside the cave, Out in the sun, Outside the matrix You become one. There, all alone, You’ll face the work Of bearing the burdon We all choose to shirk, And think for yourself And open your mind, And question the dogma That you’ve been assigned By this sound-byte world The harsh fragmentation The mass hypnosis We call education. You’ll seek out truth And proof to enforce it Without any spin Or big-name endorsement You’ll challenge your bias. You’ll face your fears Of testing your credo, Of obstenate jeers. For when you seek truth Authority fumes. You are not to think; only assume That what you are told Is what you should believe And that counter-arguments Are there to deceive. So stay in that cave Content and unwary For outside is thought, And freedom is scary.
